The development is being delivered and funded by PfP, Barratt Redrow and Homes England funding. This funding has been agreed to allow significant local infrastructure to be brought forward benefitting not just the Gilston development, but future strategic growth in the area.

Yes. The site is allocated for development within East Herts District Council’s Local Plan and outline planning permission has already been granted.

Yes. Community engagement remains a central part of PfP’ and Barratt Redrow’s approach. Residents will be consulted at key stages of the development, with opportunities to review plans, attend engagement events and provide feedback that helps shape the development.

No. Construction activity will continue to be managed in line with planning conditions and community commitments. The JV enables more coordinated delivery, helping reduce unnecessary disruption and ensuring residents receive timely updates.

No. The JV will support with speeding up the delivery of the new homes and communities wherever possible. The Central Stort Crossing works are not affected by the JV. The Central Stort Crossing works timetable has been agreed with Hertfordshire County Council. As with any construction project, there may be some disruption, however we are committed to robust monitoring to minimise this. As the development is infrastructure led, major works will be completed in stages before new residents move in.

PfP has secured all planning consents for the infrastructure works needed to support the development and will continue to deliver the infrastructure up front, ahead of any homes being built.

No. There are no changes to existing tenancy agreements across the estate following the JV announcement.
